Sterling Pitt
Sterling had a heart attack yesterday (5/4/2009) and is in Fawcett Hospital.
The good news is that by the grace of God the right people did the right
things and he is now resting comfortably. He had a total blockage that was
corrected with a stent and a balloon and will go back next month to have
another blockage cleared. We can't say enough about the cardiac care staff
at the hospital! He will go home Wednesday if he continues to improve.
Remember to tell someone you love how much they mean to you EVERY day
because you just never know... Thank goodness we will have that
opportunity for many more years.

Subject: Update on Ells
Thanks to everyone for their prayers for our father over the unexpected
events of last week. The surgery (5 by-passes!) went very well and the
doctor is so pleased with Dad's progress. I returned to Baltimore on Tuesday
when Cheryl arrived to stay with our mother. Joe is staying in Florida a little
longer to help, especially with that airport shuttle and he's getting pretty
good at it now!
The surgery was on Monday and we were able to see Dad twice but he was
still pretty groggy of course but we were so pleased to see how good he
looked. By Tuesday morning when we arrived at the hospital Dad was sitting
in a chair, breathing tube out and had a milkshake for breakfast! I called the
hospital this morning to check on him and was surprised that I was able to
speak with him and he sounds strong as ever and thanks everyone for your
concern.
As he improves he'll be transferred to the step-down unit and then it will be
determined about the rehab therapy - but this is a wonderful hospital and all
of his treatments will be in this facility.
Cheryl and I will keep you all posted and we so appreciate your love and
support.
Thank you,

I thought we should have a page to announce member news. It takes
something like Sterling having a heart attack for me to realize the need for
this. I think of Peggy, Jack, CJ, Bobby and many others that have had to
deal with life changing events over the last year and this space can be used
to keep everyone informed. If anyone has EMERGENCY NEWS they would
like posted, please write me at adjustrite@yahoo.com Stu Orr
